If you're planning a camping trip with a trailer, congratulations! You've already made one smart decision: camping with a trailer means you'll have more room to pack your gear, which can make your trip more comfortable and enjoyable. But what should you pack? Even with a trailer, you don't want to forget important items that could make or break your trip. That's why we've put together a basic packing list to help ensure you have everything you need for your overland camping adventure. Let's get started!

  • Trailer: The first thing you need is, of course, a camp trailer. Make sure it's in good condition and has all the necessary equipment, such as tires, jacks, and hitches. You definitely want the best, so you must get a VORSHEER trailer.

  • Kitchen Supplies: If your trailer has a kitchen, make sure you have all the necessary supplies for cooking, such as pots, pans, utensils, plates, and cups. Don't forget to bring a stove, fuel, and matches or a lighter.

  • Bedding: Your trailer should have a bed or a place to sleep, so make sure you bring bedding such as sheets, blankets, and pillows.

  • Clothing: Bring enough clothes for the duration of your trip, and don't forget to pack for the weather. If you'll be in cold weather, bring warm clothes, and if it's hot, bring lightweight clothing. Remember to pack enough socks and underwear.

  • Toiletries: Bring all the necessary toiletries such as toothbrush, toothpaste, soap, shampoo, and towels. Don't forget to pack sunscreen, bug spray, and any medication you may need.

  • Food and Water: If you'll be camping in a remote area, you'll need to bring your own food and water. Make sure you bring enough water for drinking, cooking, and cleaning, and pack non-perishable food items such as canned goods, granola bars, and dried fruit.

  • Tools and Repair Kits: You won't need much of this for a VORSHEER trailer, but its always a good idea to have basic tools and repair kits with you in case something breaks down. Bring a tire jack, lug wrench, tire repair kit, duct tape, and zip ties.

  • First Aid Kit: A first aid kit is essential when camping. Make sure you have bandages, antiseptic, pain relievers, and any prescription medication you may need.

  • Navigation: Bring a map and a compass, and if possible, a GPS device. This will help you navigate through unfamiliar territory.

  • Entertainment: Bring books, board games, or a deck of cards to keep yourself entertained during downtime. You can also bring a portable radio or music player for background music.

By using this packing list, you'll be well-prepared for your overland camping adventure with a camp trailer. Happy camping!
